What is a Dongle?

So what is a dongle? Simply put it is a small component of electronic equipment. You can quite easily plug it into your USB port on your Laptop or PC just as you would a USB stick. There is a difference between a dongle and a USB stick, with a dongle you use a cable to attach it to your device, but with a USB you just plug it in to your machine.

You can gain speeds from 2mbps to 7mpbs depending which service provider that you are currently signed up to. Speeds can be also affected by your location: if you were to be in a rural area for example you may experience slower connection coverage, but if you live in an urban area, you will find that you are receiving a much quicker connection speed.
